The idea:
Artistic Innovation Brokers provide a facilitating service between artists and firms. 
This service is based on firms´ needs for continuous innovation ideas. These ideas are both, service and product-related. Through our facilitating service, creative ideas from artists will be used and transformed into a structured and valuable product or service idea for firms. Our service is unique as it involves the specific task to structure creative ideas into a value proposition for firms.
Thus, business knowledge as well as creative/artistic knowledge is needed for the offer of this service, which brings together the field of business and art. 
How does the service practically work? Clients, consisting of artists and firms, can sign up to our online database. To get access to the database, an initial subscription fee is required for firms as well as for artists. Artists often lack financing nowadays due to recent changes in the political environment that resulted in cuts for public budgets of arts and culture. Moreover, artists often lack business knowledge to market their ideas. Firms, on the other hand, are searching for product and service innovation ideas.  
As a first step, ideas that artists provide and problem statements that business clients provide, are assessed by us regarding idea/problem potential, (brand) image, (potential) costumers and internal and external values. According to these criteria, firms and artists are matched in a strategic manner. 
Benefits of Artists and Clients Artists can through our service benefit from an additional source of income. Also, they can be promoted by an enhanced reputation by the marketing of their ideas –  therefore creating market awareness. Firms, on the other hand, profit from new sources of innovation for products, services and processes. The use of artistic knowledge can also increase the view on their brand image, through corporate social responsibility. in the end, profit, as well as customer satisfaction and loyalty can be augmented.
